Alpaca
|
|
| |
Alpaca's and llamas are native to south america where they are used as
pack animals to carry heavy loads up into the andies mountains.
They
are a dual purpose animal to the peruvian people as they produce
a very expensive wool likened to silk, these people also eat
them and use their manure when dried as fuel to cook their food. We
have barney and judy who we hope are going to have a little baby
(cria) in the summer. Sue the llama has been on the farm now
for seventeen years, we had her delivered the day we opened the
farm to the public. |
