May is an Irish Moiled Cow she has just given birth to a little boy called Nelson.

He is her second calf, her daughter susie was one year old in March 07.  Irish moiled cattle are a polled breed simply meaning they do not grow horns, they date back to 1845 when they were found through out ireland.  A prefered colour standard was laid down in 1929 that they should be red or roan with a white stripe down the back, a white tail and white underparts.
