The
Essex & Wessex saddlebacks had distinct histories and then
they merged into what is now known as the british saddleback
this took place in 1967.
Definite
black in colour with a white band over its front shoulders,
hence the saddleback. The
sows (females) make excellent mothers having quite large litters
of piglets. Sows are pregnant for three months, three weeks, & three
days.
